Make basic adjustments first

Start with brightness and contrast before anything else. A well-exposed photo needs fewer corrections downstream, and small adjustments often make a bigger difference than effects or filters.

Increase saturation carefully — a small boost of 10–20% is usually enough to make colors look vivid without appearing oversaturated or artificial.

Apply filters sparingly

Filters can set a consistent mood across a series of photos, but a heavy-handed filter often ages poorly. Use a subtle version at reduced opacity if the filter effect feels too strong.

After editing, export at the highest quality that still fits your use case. Repeated lossy exports compound quality loss, so always work from the original file.
