How to Compress an Image to 100KB or Less

Resize first, compress second
A 4000px camera photo can never reach 100KB gracefully. Resize to the display size first — 1200px is plenty for forms and documents.
After resizing, JPG or WebP at quality 70-80 usually lands well under 100KB.
Watch the live size readout
Adjust the quality slider while watching the output size. Stop at the highest quality that fits your limit.
If the image is a graphic with text, try PNG after resizing — sometimes it beats JPG for flat content.
